IMPACT is our report on the health of the Fox-Wolf Watershed. In 2026, we focus on the Lower Fox River and Winnebago Waterways, where momentum is building and on-the-ground efforts are delivering measurable results. In the years ahead, IMPACT will expand to reflect progress across the full watershed.

Challenges remain. Runoff, pollution, harmful algal blooms, invasive species, and limited water storage continue to test our progress. Across the region, farmers, communities, and conservation partners are stepping up – working together to turn commitment into action. Our waters are worth protecting. They power our economy, sustain our farms, and provide places to fish, paddle, and recharge. The more we invest in them, the more they give back. The work ahead is significant. The progress is real, and we are just getting started.
